I took my first with K9 Nose Work® class with my dog Bailey in 2015. I quickly became fascinated by the way playing sniffing games positively impacted dogs: building their confidence, enriching their lives and deepening the partnership between dog and handler.
I got more involved with the sport, volunteering at NACSW℠ trials and eventually competing.
In 2022 I launched B.L. McMutts to host trials and other Nosework events. Since then I have produced at least two events per year.
After retiring from a 30-year career in tech, I entered the NACSW℠ Certified Nosework Instructor program. In 2026 I will begin offering K9 Nose Work® classes, and I am excited to introduce the game to more dogs and people.
